UJVNL’s Hydro

Walking along the wayfarer of industrialization and entrepreneurship, JB Institute of Technology always carves the jubilant path of modern vision for its students. Keeping an intact watch on current industry requirements, Civil Engineering Department under the mentorship of its Head – Dr. Sanjeev Gill lead its students to UJVNL’s Hydro Power Project, Lakhbad Uttarakhand , for Industrial Visit on 26th February 2019.

The purpose of this visit was to make the students aware of the construction of Dams, Tunnels and also to witness the challenges faced in the whole process.
The students took a keen interest in understanding the technical and non-technical, both the aspects related to the plant with utmost curiosity. They clarified all the doubts by interrogating with the concerned supervisors and engineers who made them inform all the minuteness of the process. The representatives also informed the students about the economic significance of the hydropower used in various big projects and how the same could be best utilized. It was indeed an enrichment session for the students. The students participated in the visit with full zeal and enthusiasm.
